The Educational System
The educational system in Kiryat Bialik is one of the largest and most advanced in Israel. The educational system has over the years acquired outstanding results and won prizes for its achievements.

This has brought pride to the citizens and acts as an exemplary model to citizens in the surrounding areas.

The educational system includes:
2 daycare centers for ages 6mths – 3 years.
30 kindergartens for ages 3-6 years
6 elementary schools
2 junior high schools
1 high school – ORT

In total there are about 7000 students in the educational system.

The vocational school “ORT Kiryat Bialik” is one of the largest schools in the country. The high school is made up of an arts stream and a technological stream. As a result children can study for their matriculation exams and also vocational courses in engineering. This school has for many years been awarded prizes for educational achievements and has even been declared on a number of occasions as the outstanding school in the “ORT” chain. According to the principle that each pupil deserves equal opportunity for success, the municipality activates a rich, unique and supportive framework which reduces the educational gaps.

Examples can be seen in:
Daycare centers,
Centers for families with limited abilities and learning centers,
Special programmes for advancing the youth both in and out of the school framework, in order to prevent children dropping out of school or to provide these children with an alternative formal educational system.

Unique programmes:

1. The “TALI” programme: (a re-inforcement of Jewish studies). The municipality encourages and supports programmes dealing with education and Jewish heritage within the educational system. Two schools in Kiryat Bialik work with the principle of the TALI programme – one is the primary school -”Neurim” which won the national prize for outstanding school in this framework. The second school is the junior high - “Dafna”. In the framework of this programme the students benefit from an enrichment of Jewish tradition and studies.

2. The students of Kiryat Bialik sing and dance. The project is aimed at strengthening the children's feelings for their homeland and to this aim the elementary school children spend one hour a week in learning Israeli folk dancing and songs.

3. Project Ometz: This programme is designed for students in danger of dropping out of school as a result of continuous low grades. Lessons are given in small groups by the best of our teachers.

4. The educational system in Kiryat Bialik creates unique programmes for treating children with special needs and has acquired a good reputation in this field. The municipality runs schools for autistic children, for children suffering impaired vision and additional special programmes offering support in the areas. The educational system of Kiryat Bialik is designed for all local children and many of its graduates take up leading positions in Israeli society.
