Engraved on the flag of Kiryat Bialik's municipality are the subjects of education and environmental safeguarding. In order to realize this vision, the Mayor, Dr. Rafi Werthiem signed a “pact for a healthy town” and in 2005 local volunteers were trained to be “loyal to a healthy town” and “loyal to cleanliness”.
Schools joined the campaign of "green schools which promoting health" with the understanding that these pupils will be the future generation for spearheading future changes. Parents, children and teachers participate in the school activities in full co-operation with the municipality and the office for environmental safeguarding.
The activities focus on the following:

Development of green areas and public gardens (12000 trees and landscaped roundabout)
Convenient access for handicapped to public buildings and roads.
Collection of batteries and electrical waste for recycling.
Collection of white paper and newspapers for recycling.
Collection of plastic bottles for recycling.
Collection of used clothing for redistribution to the needy.
