Development of a new suburb to the east of Kiryat Bialik.
As of today there are 41,000 inhabitants in Kiryat Bialik.
Kiryat Bialik is expected to double its inhabitants by the year
2015 and become the second largest town in the Zevulun
Valley.
It will include 3 new suburbs with 1300 apartments.
A new road is planned on the east side of Kiryat Bialik to
enable traffic to move between the new and old suburbs as
well as to connect between the north and south of the town.
Municipal restoration areas
In the attempt strengthen weak areas, the municipality of
Kiryat Bialik is planning projects which are based on
deliberately demolishing existing buildings in order to create
better and more modern housing and improved quality of life.
The first evacuation-construction area near the main business
center of the town will demolish 255 old housing units and
include 850 new apartments with a green park which will
include paths, streets, roundabouts, commercial areas, sitting
areas, statues and sculptures, gardening and illuminations.
Additional evacuation-construction areas are located in the
northern suburbs of Tzur Shalom.
Engineering and development
The town's transport system: This year the town has
developed a network of roads, traffic islands and roundabouts
with surrounding sculptures and built landscaped parks and
gardens.
Intercity roads: The town is connected to the local area and
the centre of the country by means of a main thoroughfare on
the western side from Acco to Haifa.
Infrastructure system: An Institute for advanced purification
serves the town; Drinking water is transferred from the Sea
of Galilee.
The sewage system includes the Na'aman stream from the
north and joins the Kishon stream in the south.
The development today is at the stages of building a modern
sewage system connecting the town with the Mediterranean
Sea.
Cultural and Sports Center
The municipality of Kiryat Bialik is designing a new and
unique sports and cultural hall for varied activities primarily
for the youngsters for educational, sports and cultural activities.
